CAMPS

We have many kinds of fencing camps. Our summer day camps are aimed at kids who want to jump into the sport of fencing. We also run a few camps each year for experienced fencers to hone their skills. Either way, see if there is something here that will work for you or your child.

Summer day camps

If you have ever wanted to try out a fun and exciting sport, this summer may be your best opportunity. We want everyone to get a chance to try out this fast-paced sport. We at the Beaches Sabre Club are experts at introducing people to the sport of fencing — we want you to learn, have fun, and stay safe. It is great exercise, teaches self-confidence, and will give every kid something to talk about when they get back to school in the fall.

These day camps are for sabre fencers (10 and older) and foil fencers (6 to 10). We like to keep class sizes small, but we are willing to accomodate most situations. The easiest way to find out if we have what you want in a summer camp is to give us a call or write by email.

Everybody is invited to come out — for different parts of the camp we separate kids of the same experience into separate groups. And don’t think you have to stop with just one camp. As the summer goes on, we expect people to sign up for multiple camps. The more you fence, the better you get and the more fun you can have. If you’re really enjoying the sport, why not come back again and again.

March Break day camps

These camps are aimed at those who already have some experience and skill with fencing. There will be considerable amounts of physical training in the mornings: before it gets hot. The afternoons will vary between technical work with a master, and correction during bouting scenarios. We are always happy to answer any questions, so call or write if you think we can help you.
